Making for Change is UAL/London College of Fashion’s manufacturing and training social initiative.
Established in 2014 in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, we now work across two sites: Poplar Works in east London and HMP Downview in Surrey. We create spaces for women to learn, gain industry recognised qualifications and meaningful employment.
At both fully equipped studios, we offer high quality manufacturing to emerging and established brands with sustainable and social responsibility at their core. Our products range from garments to homeware, with a particular specialisation in upcycling and repurposing.
We provide the following services:
CMT Production.
Design development.
Pattern development.
Sampling.
