Founded in 2003 by Maggie Wang, Modern Star Silk specialises in the production of fine silk for apparel and accessories.
Modern Star Silk is a forward-thinking, vertical silk house with three production facilities in China, and design and trend studios in Milan and Los Angeles. Integrating heritage fabrics and the latest technology, we also create and offer an extensive library of custom prints for luxury, classic and contemporary brands worldwide.
Utilising two dedicated silk farms in China, we are proud to create sustainable fabric that is kind to the environment.
Modern Star Silk joined forces with a Milan-based trend forecaster who creates visionary prints for the company. As part of the team, she also conceptualizes colours and design direction, keeping us years ahead of the competition.
